Silence and Submission

The Role of the Woman:

The "Church" has grown quite corrupt over the past centuries, and all of this is due to not obeying the Bible. You wouldn't think that scriptures plain as day to understand would be ignored by the "Christian", and yet, they have been to such great extent. It is hard to believe how little impact the Bible has on the current "prevailing churches", so to speak. A few hundred years ago, the Bible was considered by most to be the Word of God. In contrast, nowadays, it is hardly taken seriously by any.
Silence of the woman in a "church", and submission of the wife, as emphasized in the New Testament, has been nearly entirely ignored.
Let your women keep silence in the churches: for it is not permitted unto them to speak; but they are commanded to be under obedience, as also saith the law. And if they will learn any thing, let them ask their husbands at home: for it is a shame for women to speak in the church. (1 Corinthians 14:34,35)

Let the woman learn in silence with all subjection. But I suffer not a woman to teach, nor to usurp authority over the man, but to be in silence. (1 Timothy 2:11,12)
And the reason is clearly given:

For Adam was first formed, then Eve. And Adam was not deceived, but the woman being deceived was in the transgression. (1 Timothy 2:13-14)
Women are more likely to be deceived by nature, and are more likely to be tricked by false teachers, and therefore should not lead the church. How many congregations have gone apostate once they have let women teach in the church? Not a few.
We cannot leave out however, that the women in an assembly of believers also have a role to play; their role is to teach the children and the other women, along with being keepers at home.
The aged women likewise, that they be in behaviour as becometh holiness, not false accusers, not given to much wine, teachers of good things; That they may teach the young women to be sober, to love their husbands, to love their children, To be discreet, chaste, keepers at home, good, obedient to their own husbands, that the word of God be not blasphemed. (Titus 2:3-5)
We will now touch a little more on the subject of the submission of the wife. At one point, a woman working at a job was not nearly as common as it is today. It used to be even the worldly women kept busy as keepers at home. But for the most part now that is in the past. Even in the Christian world, so many women have a job outside of the home.
Although the husband is to have the authority, he is also to love and respect his wife. It is unfortunate that this is so rare in society today. There are so many households where the wife is the head. But as we can see, this is certainly not to be the case:
Wives, submit yourselves unto your own husbands, as unto the Lord. For the husband is the head of the wife, even as Christ is the head of the church: and he is the saviour of the body. Therefore as the church is subject unto Christ, so let the wives be to their own husbands in every thing. Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself for it; (Ephesians 5:22-25)

Wives, submit yourselves unto your own husbands, as it is fit in the Lord. Husbands, love your wives, and be not bitter against them. (Colossians 3:18-19)
In these days, the women want to do the same things as the men. But they were created with something different in mind - a position just as honorable as that of the men. However, they decide that they are going to do the job of men, which in some cases is not even really possible, since the average man is naturally stronger than the average woman. If we keep this in mind, we need not wonder why collapsing homes are becoming more frequent.
Let us obey the Bible; it is the instruction book for our lives.
...We ought to obey God rather than men. (Acts 5:29)
